In 2025, an MoU was signed between Sri Aurobindo Society (SAS) and Karmayogi Bharat, a Government of India initiative under the National Programme for Civil Services Capacity Building (NPCSCB).
Under this MoU, Karmayogi Bharat and SAS decided to work together in actively building capacity of government officials in India through iGOT Karmayogi platform in the Central & State Government for expanding digital skills. The details of the MoU were worked out by BhāratShakti, the department of SAS responsible for creating appropriate learning content for iGOT Karmayogi platform.
In July 2025, our first course titled ‘Money And Consciousness: Indian Wisdom and Sri Aurobindo’s Vision’ with 3-module course was published at the iGOT Karmayogi learning platform. The second course titled ‘Revisiting Gender Equality through the Indian Spiritual Vision’ was published on November 13, 2025. This course includes 6 short modules with video content and reflective assessments. Both these courses were developed by Dr. Beloo Mehra, Director, BhāratShakti. As of September 30, 2026, more than 7300 participants have enrolled for the courses giving them an average of 4.53 star rating (out of 5).
In September 2026, a new 5-modle course was developed by Dr. Beloo Mehra. This course titled ‘Yogic Wisdom on Work and Inner Growth’, drawing on insights from Bhagavad Gita as well as the various writings of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother explores the topic of Work as a field for growing in consciousness.
Details of the Course
The FIVE modules of the course are titled:
- Shifting our Attitude Towards Work
- Bhagavad Gita’s Teaching of Gunas and Work
- Dynamic Action and Bhagavad Gita’s Teaching of Kartavyam Karma
- Work as an Offering or Prayer
- A Leader’s Responsibility Towards the Employees
Through a series of 5 videos, followed by short assessments, the course highlights that when we take up work in the right yogic attitude we can bring out the inner progress into the external nature and life, thus allowing for an integral growth of our being.
All the details of the course were designed keeping the guidelines from Karmayogi Bharat in consideration. The videos were prepared with immense help from Auromedia, the media wing of Sri Aurobindo Society.

The video content (5) for this course, researched and delivered by Dr. Beloo Mehra, explores the theme of Work for the growth of consciousness through the lens of insights from Bhagavad Gita and Sri Aurobindo’s and the Mother’s insights on Work. Through these videos and reflective assessments, the participants will:
- Understand the concept of work as a means of inner growth and self-development.
- Explore key teachings from the Bhagavad Gita on the purpose and approach to work.
- Understand the significance of performing work with the attitude of offering and service.
- Explain the deeper meaning of work as worship from a yogic perspective.
- Recognise the relationship between inner growth, consciousness and everyday work.
- Explore yogic perspectives on relationships and responsibilities in the workplace, including those between employers and employees.
- Reflect on how the right attitude towards work can support personal development and a more conscious approach to professional life.
Participants are encouraged to engage with the reference materials provided, which offer deeper insights into the ideas presented and help broaden their understanding of the topic. Short reflection quizzes included after each section support thoughtful engagement with the content.
In the coming months, BhāratShakti department will be preparing more courses on topics relevant for civil servants. Our guiding principle when selecting the course topic and preparing learning content is that the material should help the government officials appreciate and develop a deeper spiritual perspective and rethink their attitudes on topics related to work and life.
Professionals working at various levels of Indian administrative, civil and bureaucratic services are important pillars of the nation-building work. As New India continues to rise, it is critical that they develop a more India-centric perspective as well as appreciate a future-oriented psycho-spiritual vision such as the one we have from Sri Aurobindo.
In this regard, we are happy to contribute to the work of disseminating the Light and Vision of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother while simultaneously contributing to the work of reawakening the innate Bharata Shakti.
