This volume brings out the great significance of Yoga of Works in Integral Yoga through selections from various writings of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother, a few senior sadhaks who walked the path of Integral Yoga and a few fresh voices from aspirants on the Sunlit path. Work is field for growing in consciousness and self-consecration, and therefore, it has to be done as an offering to the Supreme so that through this self-offering one may gradually come to feel the Force and Presence of the Divine Mother.
By taking up work in the right yogic attitude we can bring out the inner progress into the external nature and life, thus making the path of sadhana more integral in nature. All insistence on personal preference or desire for specific outcome emerges from an egoistic attitude. Difficulties and outward failures in work come to indicate that we must overcome egoism and rajasic desire, and do work in the spirit of offering to the Divine. It is the spirit of offering put into the work, and not the kind or nature of work which matters in sadhana.
