As part of the last 4-day programme organized by Uditam: Institute for Integral Healing, Sri Aurobindo Society, Dr. Beloo Mehra, Director, BharatShakti, was invited to facilitate a group discussion session on Saturday, September 7, 2024. For her session, Dr. Mehra chose the topic – From Love Human to Love Divine. The focus of the session was on highlighting how much of the disharmony we experience in the emotional part of our being is due to our inability to fully grasp the true nature of love which is or should ideally be the basis of all relationships in life.
Dr. Mehra began with a brief recounting of the Mother’s description of the story of creation which explains the descent of Love as a Force of the Supreme which hides itself deep down in the Inconscient. This story, she explained, highlights how Love is at the very foundation of entire manifestation and what we human experience as individual love is an expression of this universal force which is looking to manifest in an instrument that is open and receptive.
The bulk of the session was conducted in an interactive form. Several stories from Indian cultural tradition were recounted. Shri Pradeep Narang, Chairman of Sri Aurobindo Society, and Mr. Shekhar, Director, AuroYajna, also joined the group. The discussions were open and lively. Dr. Mehra had prepared a single-page handout with selected quotes from Sri Aurobindo and the Mother relevant to the topic. Some of these were used to initiate meaningful discussions.
