Date: November 17, 2025

Venue: Online

On 17 November, the Sri Aurobindo Society, Delhi Branch hosted a special session in remembrance of The Mother’s Mahasamadhi Day. Dr. Beloo Mehra, Director, BhāratShakti, was invited to share some thoughts during the session on the theme: “The One Whom We Adore as The Mother”

Ms. Palvi Katal from SAS, Delhi Branch, introduced the speaker and anchored the session. While 70 attendees joined the session online, more than 50 participants attended the talk physically at the Sri Aurobindo Society, Delhi Branch. In her talk, Dr. Mehra briefly explored the Mother’s three poises—Transcendent, Universal, and Individual—and her work with Sri Aurobindo to bring down the Supramental Consciousness for the transformation of earthly life. She emphasised that the occasion of the Mother’s Mahasamadhi reminds us to cultivate a constant attitude of gratitude, aspiration, and inner closeness to Her presence.

Referencing a few insights from Sri Aurobindo’s works such as Savitri and The Mother, Dr. Mehra highlighted the Mother’s Avataric work. The Mother is the Supreme Creatrix, the consciousness and force of the Supreme, manifesting in transcendent, universal, and individual poises. Her present embodiment came with the mission to initiate a new creation founded on Supramental Consciousness.

Dr. Mehra explained that the Mother’s arrival in India and her collaboration with Sri Aurobindo were essential for bringing down the Supramental Truth-Consciousness to transform earthly life. With the help of some profound quotes from Sri Aurobindo and the Mother, Dr. Mehra also highlighted the Mother’s work in mediating between human personality and divine nature, and her aim to hasten the rule of Divine Love upon earth.

She also shared a few accounts from sadhaks like Champaklal and Amal Kiran to illustrate the Mother’s loving yet firm guidance, her unconventional approach, and her grace in everyday interactions with the aspirants.

The overall message conveyed in Dr. Mehra’s talk centered on deepening one’s inner connection with the Mother, understanding her multifaceted presence, and appreciating her transformative work for humanity. Dr. Simmi Mahajan presented the vote of thanks at the conclusion of the talk.
