A poster exhibition curated by the BhāratShakti team is currently on display at the Sri Aurobindo Sadhana Kendra, Vallabh Vidyanagar in Gujarat. Dr. Rajeshwari Singh, President of the Kendra had invited us to curate a special exhibition for the Kendra on the occasion of Sri Aurobindo’s Birthday.
Significant quotes illustrating the significance of Yogic work of Sri Aurobindo along with several beautiful photographs were selected for the 15-poster exhibition. The theme of the exhibition is – “Sri Aurobindo is as Vast as the Universe.”
The inspiration for the exhibition came from the Mother’s words – “Who can understand Sri Aurobindo? He is as vast as the universe and his teaching is limitless…The only way to come a little close to him is to love him sincerely and give oneself unreservedly to his work.” With this in mind, rest of the selection of relevant quotes highlighting the stupendous Yogic work of Sri Aurobindo happened smoothly.
In addition to highlighting the Mother’s words where she reminds us that Sri Aurobindo is the Future advancing towards its realisation, and that he represents a mighty action straight from the Supreme, the exhibition also features selected quotes from Amal Kiran and Kireet Joshi. A few moving words from Sri Aurobindo himself about the work he did for the future of the earth are also included. We also highlight his words “What I received about the SUPERMIND was a DIRECT, not a derived knowledge given to me; it was only afterwards that I found certain confirmatory revelations in the Upanishad and Veda.”
The selection of appropriate quotes was done by Dr. Beloo Mehra, and the designing of the exhibition posters was done by Ms. Biswajita Mohapatra.
