The Legacy of Our Ancestors

The practice of Integral Yoga, as outlined by Sri Aurobindo and The Mother, provides the spiritual and practical framework to fulfill the dreams of our ancestors. They envisioned not just political freedom but the complete liberation of the human spirit—a new India where every individual realizes their divine potential and contributes to the collective evolution of society.

This legacy calls for a conscious and deliberate effort to transform every aspect of life, from education and governance to economics and culture, in alignment with the higher truths of existence. It is our duty to ensure that the sacrifices of our forebears bear fruit in the form of a spiritually awakened and divinely guided nation—a true manifestation of their vision for a prosperous, peaceful, and harmonious India.

Building Sri Aurobindo’s New India: The Journey from Vision to Reality

The realization of Sri Aurobindo’s dream of a new India is not a distant hope; it is an achievable reality. It demands a united effort from every citizen, transcending personal interests to work for the collective good. This new India is a vision of a nation where governance is transparent and accountable, where education nurtures moral and ethical values, and where the economy is inclusive and sustainable.

To bring this vision to life, we must adopt a holistic approach that addresses all aspects of our society. Education must cultivate not just academic excellence but also the moral and spiritual development of our youth. Economic reforms should aim to eliminate poverty and inequality, ensuring that the benefits of growth are shared by all. In the political arena, we need to strengthen our democratic institutions, making them truly representative and responsive to the needs of the people.

Environmentally, we must recognize the intrinsic connection between the health of our planet and our own well-being. Socially, we need to build a culture of empathy, compassion, and mutual respect, eradicating discrimination and violence in all forms. Every citizen has a role to play in this transformation, whether through community service, advocating for change, or living by the values of honesty, kindness, and respect.

Breaking Old Patterns and Building a New Society

This is the time to break old destructive patterns, paradigms that created separatism, inequalities, conflicts, and a dysfunctional society, and build a new, evolved, empowered, and enlightened society where we all work together purposefully, harmoniously, and cooperatively to create a model country that our children and future generations will be proud of!

This vision is in perfect alignment with the principles of Integral Yoga and Integral Human Development, where the goal is the transformation of the individual and society to reflect the divine order, leading to a life of harmony, peace, and progress.

It is time to dismantle the existing inhumane systems, structures, and processes that have given rise to hunger, disease, poverty, inequality, communal disharmony, and violence, degrading so many lives and the environment. We must come together to create new social processes, structures, and systems that provide better education, healthcare, social and economic justice, equal opportunities, peace, progress, and prosperity for all.

We must redesign our social and economic systems to create a society based on compassion, cooperation, and creativity—a society where everyone has equal opportunity to live a life of dignity, to work, to thrive, and to have equal access to national resources.

A new India is emerging as millions of us awaken to our spiritual and human potential, both individually and collectively. Our collective wisdom, built over years of human effort and intelligence, calls us to share our gifts, pool our resources and expertise, and bring forth the glory of our individual and magnificent collective future.

A glorious future calls us to collaborate effectively and intelligently to create a social revolution that is not destructive but constructive, fulfilling the promises of the past and our collective potential. A revolution that transforms crises and adversities into opportunities for creating a better and higher order. As we cooperate and align ourselves to re-pattern our existing systems and processes, we consciously evolve to a higher level.

The Time Is Now

India has finally come of age. Centuries of discoveries, inventions, experiments, explorations, technological, and intellectual advancements have opened doors to unlimited possibilities and potentials. They have presented us with a new insight and choice—to choose from our collective experiences and create a better tomorrow for all.

This is a glorious opportunity to pause, take stock of the discoveries and developments so far, ponder the infinite potentials and possibilities, select the best course, and come together to choose, create, and claim our highest potential as a nation, making India the supreme power of Asia and the crown of the world once again.

The time is right, and we have all that is needed—resources, manpower, means, and tools—to create a new India that works for all. It requires our collective will, wisdom, and action to create an intellectual revolution that will transform our country into a heaven on earth.

A new consciousness is arising, and a new India is being born. Let us all come together to create a new India—a nation free of poverty, hunger, violence, communalism, terrorism, unemployment, illiteracy, and unhygienic conditions.
